Wedding invitations can be quite intimidating at times. They represent the beginning of a journey
that will change the lives of the bride and groom (and their families) forever. I had the pleasure of working
with Chris and Caitlin to put together something that exemplifies them.
Chicago is at the center of their relationship. It's where they met, where they fell in love, and where they will live until their journey leads them elsewhere. I knew they would want the city to have a strong place on the invitation, as that's where the wedding took place, so I made sure to include the unmistakable skyline.
Blue and green were their wedding colors, so that was a simple decision. As for the text treatment and font choice, I went with something sleek and simple because of how it suited both of their personalities.
Along with the invitation, I created RSVP and meal cards that went out in the mail with the invite,
so that guests would have a consistent experience no matter where they interacted with the wedding.
The most important part of this project to me was that the bridge and groom were happy. Much to my satisfaction, they were thrilled.
